Our Team

The most important part of our business is our people. Our team is made up of highly skilled professionals who are certified industry experts. They’re capable of performing complex repairs on today’s sophisticated vehicles. By committing to lifelong learning and professional development, they keep their skills sharp. Even more important than their technical skills is the empathy and dedication they bring to the job. They treat all of our customers like family. 

In addition to our expert mechanics, our administrative and customer service teams are also here for you. Our regular business hours are Monday - Friday: 7:30-5:00, but if you need special accommodations, feel free to reach out so we can develop a game plan to best assist you.

David Taylor - Owner

David has owned Southgate Automotive since 1995 and started with Southgate Chevron in 1983. After all these years, he still loves working on cars and attends ongoing training to stay current on the latest automotive technology. He is State of Nevada G2 certified and an expert in computer diagnostics and vehicle maintenance. David has been married to his loving wife for over 30 years and has two beautiful children. When he’s not at the shop, David enjoys off-road racing, spending time with his wife, and camping.

Cameron Taylor - Co-Owner

Cameron is the third generation of the Taylor family to work at and be part-owner of Southgate Automotive. He has been working at the shop for 11 years and is attending ongoing training for diesel repair. Cameron is happily married and has two lovable daughters. When Cameron is not working, he is usually out in the desert either racing his desert race car of watching off-road racing.

WenDee - Bookkeeper

WenDee is our bookkeeper here at Southgate Automotive. She spent 30+ years in the grocery business before deciding to change professions and work with her husband David. She enjoys gardening and camping in her spare time.
